As I am writing this, I am in full make-up, eating a cracker, on set. Always my favorite words to begin a post with. Or maybe I’d prefer : “As I am writing this, I’m polishing my recently won Oscar while getting a massage.” Oh well, it’s a start.
Either way, this has been a good week. I had rehearsals for my first role where an accent was required, got some really unexpected but super awesome news on the agent front, started filming a new project, and most importantly: had some personal wins. I also made an odd discovery…
Well, guess what? I won the voting competition and am still in the TV show Who’s in Who’s Out! So thanks to everyone that voted, I’m still in acting heaven, filming episodes every Saturday till Monday! I really didn’t expect to win, since my competition was a talented stud with a large group of infatuated girls as fans. But I guess I had underestimated the enthusiasm of my family, friends and blog readers! I particularly suspect I have my mom to thank. She has a lot of colleagues, you know…
The last few weeks have been interesting and great in many ways. For the first time in my life, I got a real taste of what life as a working actress is like. Being on set three weeks in a row, recording songs, rehearsing, working with call sheets, wondering about ratings…And, because of the format of the TV show – where winners of roles get some publicity- I got a tiny little taste of fame too.
Hi all! Thanks to all of your votes I got to star in two episodes of the Dutch TV show Who’s in Who’s Out as the at first sight seemingly bitchy Maria, and I had the time of my life. Cycling through the snow, freezing my butt off, I all did it with a joy that nearly made me break out in a “I’m siiiiinging in the snow!” My first episode aired yesterday, go check it out here: 
After a period of solely bad news, sickness and sad blog posts, the tide has turned. I hate to fall into cheesy clichés but, you know…every cloud has silver lining.
